01Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service apply to your use of thresholdstudios.ca (the "website"), operated by Threshold Studios ("we", "us", "our") of Vancouver, British Columbia. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.

02Our services and quotes

The website describes our photography and video services, including event and conference coverage, corporate content, headshots, real estate media and video production. Descriptions, sample turnaround times, package details and other figures on the website are provided for general information and may change without notice.

Any quote we send is an estimate based on the information you provide. It's valid for the period stated on the quote, and may be revised if the scope, schedule, location or other details change.

03Bookings and project agreements

Your date and services are confirmed only once we've both agreed to the scope in writing and any required deposit or retainer has been received. Each project is governed by its own written agreement or accepted proposal, which sets out fees, payment terms, deliverables, timelines, cancellation and rescheduling, usage rights and other details.

If anything in that project agreement conflicts with these terms, the project agreement takes priority.

04Photos, video and content on this site

All content on the website, including photographs, video, text, graphics, logos and design, is owned by Threshold Studios or used with permission from our clients and partners, and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

You may view the website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, download, reproduce, republish, modify, sell or distribute any content from the website, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, without our prior written permission. Sharing a link to a page is always welcome.

Ownership and usage rights for photos and video we create for clients are set out in each project's agreement, not in these terms.

05Using the website responsibly

When using the website, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading or spam inquiries, or impersonate another person or organization.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its server or any connected systems.
• Interfere with the website's operation, including through viruses, bots, scrapers or excessive automated requests.
• Use the website for any unlawful purpose.

06Calls, texts and messages

The website includes links to call or text us. If you text us, we'll only reply about your inquiry or project, and we don't send marketing text messages. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

07Links to other websites

The website may link to or embed content from third-party sites such as Instagram and YouTube. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, policies or practices.

08Disclaimer

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of harmful components, or that all information on it is complete or current.

09Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Threshold Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website. Our responsibilities for services we provide are set out in the relevant project agreement.

10Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information through the website and in our work, and forms part of these terms.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute relating to these terms or the website will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top showing when it last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
